Rotate PDF
Scanned pages the wrong way up? Just rotate everything by 90/180/270 degrees. Files never leave the browser.

Batch supported · Processed locallyThis adds a "rotation flag" to the PDF pages without redrawing the content, so it's fast and the file size barely changes; a landscape scan stays a landscape scan, it's just displayed upright.
When to use it
- Your scanner or phone scanning app saved portrait pages sideways, and you'd have to tilt your head to read them — but the scan itself is clean and you don't want to redo it.
- A merged or received PDF is upside down on every page, while the text layer, page numbers, and images are all intact.
When not to
- Only page 3 is sideways — this rotates every page in the file by the same amount and can't target individual pages.
- The page is skewed by a few degrees (say 7°) — rotation only moves in 90° steps; a crooked scan needs deskewing or a rescan.
Everything runs locally in the browser through pdf-lib; the PDFs are never uploaded and disappear when you close the tab. Limits: encrypted PDFs can't be opened, every page rotates together, and only the rotation flag changes, so a blurry scan stays blurry. Batches download one file at a time, not as a ZIP. The originals are never modified; each file downloads as a separate copy.
Frequently asked
Does rotating reduce quality or increase the file size?
No content is re-rendered. The tool adds 90/180/270 to each page's existing rotation angle, so text, vectors, and scan images stay untouched and the output is about the same size. The flip side: it can't straighten a crooked scan or make a blurry one sharper.
I rotated the wrong way — how do I undo it?
Rotations add up: applying 90° again to a page that's already at 90° gives 180°. Choose the opposite angle (90° ↔ 270°, or 180° again) or re-upload the original. The download is named name-rotated.pdf and the original is never modified.
Can it open a password-protected PDF, and are batches zipped?
PDFs with an open password or a permissions password can't be decrypted by pdf-lib; they're marked as failed while the rest of the batch continues. You can drop several PDFs at once, but each downloads separately as -rotated.pdf — there's no ZIP.
