Write a Resume Bullet with a Number
Added 2026-11-01
Replace job duties with what you changed, how much it mattered and how it was measured.
Here is one line from my resume. Rewrite it: 1) start with a verb and say what I did; 2) give a quantifiable result — number, percentage, time — or explain how to estimate one; 3) state the scope: how many people, how much money, how long; 4) keep it to two lines so a recruiter can scan it; 5) point out the part that is only a job duty and can be cut. If I have no numbers, suggest three places I could find them — a system, a report, a colleague.

How to use
简历的一条,应该能读出「因为你在,哪里变了」。
Try tweaking it
- Rewrite each experience as action + result + verifiable number.
- Have it gather the job requirements first, then rewrite against them.
What you should get
- Rewritten bullets: action, result, number
- Likely follow-up questions and how to answer
Common mistakes
- Asking it to "optimise the CV", and every line starts sounding like a template.
- Adding projects you never did — it falls apart in the first interview.
How to check the output
- Each line is action + result + number, and you can defend the details.
- Nothing you did not actually do has been added.
Where it works
- Good for: rewriting experience as action + result + verifiable metric for CVs and interviews.
- Watch out: metrics must be real; AI can phrase them, not invent them.
