Prepare a Demo That Survives Questions
Added 2026-11-04
Anticipate the three hardest questions before choosing the demo path.
I have a product demo coming up (content and audience below). Prepare: 1) the three hardest questions likely to come up — data security, performance, competitor difference; 2) for each, one direct answer plus one piece of evidence I can show; 3) a shortest-success-path demo that runs in three minutes; 4) the technical step most likely to fail and a backup; 5) one graceful line for "I am not sure now, I will confirm after". Do not fake data for the demo.

How to use
演示的成败往往在问答环节,不在演示本身。
Try tweaking it
- Ask for three columns: conclusion, owner, deadline — ready to paste into a table.
- Let it organise only your notes; do not add decisions that were never made.
What you should get
- Task list with owner, deadline and blocker
- Escalations that need a decision, listed separately
Common mistakes
- Feeding raw notes and letting it fill in decisions that were never made.
- Getting owners without deadlines, so no task can be created.
How to check the output
- Every item has an owner and a date — ready to become a task.
- It does not record decisions that were never made.
Where it works
- Good for: turning verbal discussion into owner, deadline and blocker.
- Watch out: let it organise only the notes you supply — never let it infer decisions that were not made.
