Getting Real Feedback After a Talk
Added 2026-10-30
Replace "how was it" with specific questions that yield actionable feedback.
I just gave a talk and want real feedback. Do: 1) design five specific questions (not "how was it") covering content, structure, delivery, pacing and what they remember; 2) for each, offer two possible answer directions so it is cheap to reply; 3) write a message to post in the group (under 100 words) saying I will read it seriously and not argue; 4) tell me what to do first with the feedback so it does not just get collected.

How to use
问「哪一段最难跟上」,比问「讲得怎么样」有用十倍。
Try tweaking it
- Ask for one diagnostic question first to locate where you are stuck.
- Replace "explain it" with "give three progressive exercises; correct me after I answer".
What you should get
- A diagnosis of exactly where you are stuck
- A small set of self-checkable exercises
Common mistakes
- Asking it to explain from scratch, and still not knowing where you went wrong.
- Memorising the explanation as the answer, then failing on any variant.
How to check the output
- It names exactly where you are stuck instead of re-explaining everything.
- Exercises are graded and self-checkable.
Where it works
- Good for: diagnosing where you are stuck, then giving the smallest exercise instead of a lecture.
- Watch out: ask it to flag uncertainty rather than memorising a confident but wrong explanation.
