Workday Counter
Count business days between two dates. Each day from start to end is checked and only Monday to Friday count, with both endpoints included. Public holidays and make-up workdays are not detected, and the calendar-day total is shown too.
How to use
- Pick a start and an end date; both endpoints count.
- You get the business-day count and the calendar-day total, and the two dates are swapped if they are entered backwards.
- To exclude public holidays, subtract those days from the result yourself.
FAQ
Are public holidays excluded?
No. The count is based on weekdays only, so holidays still count and weekend make-up workdays are not added back.
Are both endpoints included?
Yes. From 1 October to 2 October, if both are weekdays, the result is 2, not 1.
Can I get payroll working days per month?
No. This counts calendar weekdays only; it does not apply payroll conventions (such as the 21.75-day formula), overtime or shift rosters. Treat the count as a planning estimate.
