Line Sorter (A–Z)
Sort lines alphabetically from A to Z. Useful for tidying name lists, tags, and keyword collections so the order is predictable; the text inside each line is left unchanged.
How to use
- Each line is treated as one record; spaces and punctuation inside a line are not altered.
- Normalising case before sorting can reduce results that differ from what you expected.
FAQ
Do digits and symbols come before letters?
Ordering follows character comparison rules, so digits, symbols, and letters may not appear in the order you expect. Normalise the format first and then check the result.
How are lines with different case ordered?
Case can affect the comparison, so Word and word may not sit next to each other. If you want to ignore case, convert everything to uppercase or lowercase before sorting.
