SVG to PNG
Vectors are exported as bitmaps, and scaling up won't blur them because they're re-rendered from the vector.
Drag in an SVG, or Choose file
Batch · Rendered locally · No uploadIf the SVG references external images or fonts (<image href="http://...">, external @font-face), browsers block reading it for security reasons, so the export fails or is missing elements. Inline the resource into the SVG first.
When to use it
- A platform only accepts PNG or JPG uploads, and all you have is an SVG logo, icon, or QR code.
- You need 2× or 3× bitmaps for an app, a Retina website, or a slide deck, and want crisp edges rendered fresh from the vector.
When not to
- The SVG references external images, fonts, or remote CSS — the browser blocks those during rendering, so elements go missing or the export fails; inline the resources first.
- You still need to change colors, edit text, or scale without loss — keep the SVG; a PNG is raster and will blur if enlarged later.
Rendering happens in your browser; SVG files are never uploaded. Limits: output is PNG only; external images, fonts, and CSS won't load, so inline them first; SVGs without width/height may not have a usable size; animations and scripts are reduced to a static image; 4× exports are bounded by the browser's canvas size and memory.
Frequently asked
What pixel size will the PNG be?
It's the SVG's own width and height multiplied by the scale you pick (1×–4×). For example, a 24×24 icon at 4× becomes 96×96. An SVG with only a viewBox and no width/height may fail or come out at the wrong size; add explicit dimensions in an editor first.
Why is text, an image, or some styling missing from the exported PNG?
When an SVG is loaded as an image it can't read external resources: <image href="https://...">, @font-face, and remote CSS are blocked by security rules, and scripts and animations don't run. Convert text to paths, inline images as base64, or use an export tool that embeds assets.
How do I get a transparent PNG?
Tick Transparent background to get a PNG with an alpha channel; leave it unchecked to fill the canvas with the chosen color. PNG is lossless, so a 4× export can be much larger than the original SVG; 1× or 2× is usually enough for the web, while 4× suits print or further editing.
