Sort Lines (Ignore Case)
Email exports, customer lists, and tag lists usually mix capitalisation, so a plain sort pushes every capitalised line to the top. This reorders lines alphabetically while ignoring case, ready to paste back into the spreadsheet.
How to use
- Paste the list into the box, one item per line.
- Lines come back in case-insensitive alphabetical order; duplicates are kept and blank lines sort first.
- Press Copy result and replace the original column with it.
FAQ
Will lines that differ only in case be merged?
No. Sorting only changes order — nothing is deleted or merged, so Apple and apple end up next to each other as two separate lines. Run a dedupe tool first if you need them collapsed.
Why did a blank line jump to the top?
The sort treats an empty string as the smallest item, so a trailing newline in your input counts as a blank line and lands first. Delete the final newline before pasting, or remove the first row afterwards.
