Number Base Converter

Convert a decimal number, a 0x hexadecimal number, or a 0b binary number and see decimal, binary, octal, and hexadecimal results in one place. Useful for reading register values, writing bit masks, and checking color codes. Fractional input is truncated to an integer.

How to use
  • Type a number; add a 0x prefix for hexadecimal or 0b for binary.
  • The result lists decimal, binary, octal, and hexadecimal values at once.
  • Hexadecimal output is uppercase, which matches most datasheets and register tables.

FAQ

Does it handle negative numbers?

Decimal negatives work: type -42. Negative values written with a 0x or 0b prefix are not reliably recognized, so enter them in decimal.

Is it inaccurate for very large numbers?

Above 2^53−1 (about 9×10^15), JavaScript numbers lose precision, so the last few digits may be wrong.

Can it convert between arbitrary bases?

No. The input only recognizes decimal, 0x hexadecimal, and 0b binary, and the output is fixed to the four common bases.
