Rewrite a Jargon-Heavy Announcement in Plain Words
Added 2026-10-30
Keep all the information, replace jargon with plain language, and flag the terms that must stay.
Below is an internal announcement. Rewrite it so a colleague understands it in one read: 1) keep every fact, number and deadline; 2) turn jargon into concrete actions or outcomes; 3) list terms that must stay and explain each in one sentence; 4) point at the sentence readers are most likely to misread; 5) show word counts before and after. Do not drop information or add promises.

How to use
公告的目标是让人知道要做什么,不是展示专业。
Try tweaking it
- Ask for three openings in different tones, then pick one.
- Replace "make it better" with concrete limits: length, reader, facts to keep.
What you should get
- A publishable draft, not an outline
- A short changelog: what changed and why
Common mistakes
- Letting it guess the facts, so plausible-looking sources get invented.
- Dumping the whole text with just "polish it" — the result still has no point.
How to check the output
- The conclusion comes first; deleting the opening paragraph does not break it.
- Every fact, number and quote traces back to the source text.
Where it works
- Good for: turning a rambling draft into a conclusion-first, shorter version.
- Watch out: keep sources and figures verbatim — do not let it invent citations.
