Prepare for a Performance Review
Added 2026-10-31
Bring outcomes, gaps and next-year goals instead of improvising on feelings.
I have a performance review coming. I will give this year's work and feedback. Prepare: 1) three most persuasive outcomes with numbers; 2) one gap I admit and what I did about it; 3) two things I want next year, framed as value to the team; 4) one sentence answering "what rating do you think you deserve"; 5) two questions I want to ask my manager. No exaggeration, no excessive modesty.

How to use
绩效面谈不是辩解,是让双方对齐「值多少」。
Try tweaking it
- Rewrite each experience as action + result + verifiable number.
- Have it gather the job requirements first, then rewrite against them.
What you should get
- Rewritten bullets: action, result, number
- Likely follow-up questions and how to answer
Common mistakes
- Asking it to "optimise the CV", and every line starts sounding like a template.
- Adding projects you never did — it falls apart in the first interview.
How to check the output
- Each line is action + result + number, and you can defend the details.
- Nothing you did not actually do has been added.
Where it works
- Good for: rewriting experience as action + result + verifiable metric for CVs and interviews.
- Watch out: metrics must be real; AI can phrase them, not invent them.
