Find Knowledge Gaps from Mistakes
Added 2026-11-01
The mistake is not the question; it is a concept behind it. Classify causes before reviewing.
I collected a set of questions I got wrong or could not answer (below). Do: 1) classify each error into one of four causes — unclear concept, imprecise memory, misread question, calculation or execution slip; 2) say which cause dominates and what to fix first; 3) for the unclear-concept ones, find the single concept they share; 4) give one targeted exercise for each frequent cause; 5) warn me which kind of error is most easily hidden by doing more practice tests.

How to use
错题的价值是暴露概念缺口,不是刷更多题。
Try tweaking it
- Ask for one diagnostic question first to locate where you are stuck.
- Replace "explain it" with "give three progressive exercises; correct me after I answer".
What you should get
- A diagnosis of exactly where you are stuck
- A small set of self-checkable exercises
Common mistakes
- Asking it to explain from scratch, and still not knowing where you went wrong.
- Memorising the explanation as the answer, then failing on any variant.
How to check the output
- It names exactly where you are stuck instead of re-explaining everything.
- Exercises are graded and self-checkable.
Where it works
- Good for: diagnosing where you are stuck, then giving the smallest exercise instead of a lecture.
- Watch out: ask it to flag uncertainty rather than memorising a confident but wrong explanation.
